Palo Alto Lodge is fortunate to have a Corps of Officers and Trustees who work toward making the Lodge a great place for members and their families to visit. These Officers put in countless hours of volunteer time to head up various committees and activites.
Bob Fleck has been a member of the Palo Alto Elks since 1985. He has been involved in numerous athletic facilities and Lodge projects; chaired the Finance Committee, served on the House Committee, past Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees and as a Lodge Officer prior to his election as Exalter Ruler. Bob has a BS degree from San Jose State University, along with more than 25 years of management experience of both publicly-held companies and startups. He served as CEO of a publicly-held Company, President of three other companies and on the Board of Directors of five companies. He has experience addressing issues involving turnaround situations, strategic and business planning and as lead negotiator in the sale of a Bank to Citicorp. He formed Financial Advisory Services, a personal and business consulting firm that specialized in risk reward modeling and the analysis of investments. He also formed a communications company specializing in providing management reports and employee compensation and benefit statements. Prior to that, he spent 13 years with a NYSE company as a Brokerage Consultant. His current involvement includes a high-tech start-up company dealing with large screen, high resolution displays.
Donna Keiffer is a five year member of this lodge, now serving as the Esteemed Leading Knight. She has served as an officer the last four years. A graduate of Missouri university with a BS in Biology; additional training for board certification as a Histologist and a Medical technologist. A member of American Society of Clinical Pathologists and The National society of Histologists. Donna was on the staff at the the university for ten years in Anatomical pathology. She has worked for several research and pharmaceutical companies as well as hospitals. She has been in the medical profession for 43 years and is still working as a histologist at the VA hospital in Palo Alto. She took some time out over the past years to get her MA in the art field in order to teach. She has been a member of the Los Altos Art club for many years and still very active in it.
Jack is a 30 year member of Lodge #1471. He has been an active member of the Veteran's Committee for over ten years and has served on several work detachments to repair the handball courts. He as also been active with both the Girl Scouts and the Boy Scouts for a period exceeding 20 years. He has held various offices with the Boy Scouts culminating with three years as Scoutmaster of Palo Alto Troop #57. As a career Jack was a geophysicist for well over thirty years. Most of his employment was with (first) the U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey and then the U. S. Geologic Survey. Jack has been married to Sybil Hochguertel Pfluke for 48 years. They have five children ( three girls, two boys) and ten grandchildren. His family is spread over the globe in California, Michighan, Ohio, Hawaii, France and New Zealand. Most of their vacation time is spent visiting family in one or the other of these interesting places.
Steve Ebaugh is a United States Marine Corps Veteran, serving a tour of duty as Electronics Supervisor on F-4 Aircraft, starting jet engines, and backseat qualified to fly. After the Marines, Steve attended Bay Valley Tech. in Santa Clara and received an Academic Specialized Degree in Electronics Technology, graduating with honors. Steve started working as a Flight Simulator Technician before graduation with DOD VP-31 Moffett Field, CA specializing in DEC mainframe computers, and advanced electronic servo control systems. Steve was selected by NASA to be an Experimental Aircraft Research Technician; working on aircraft instrumentation associated with data acquisition, GPS navigation, and piloted aircraft digital systems. Steve is now retired and has lived in Menlo Park for 50 years.
Joe has been a member of the Palo Alto Elks since 1980. He is the Youth Activities Chairman and manages the Lodge sponsored All American Soap Box Derby project. He came to Palo Alto in 1965 when he joined the Palo Alto Police Department serving in many facets of law enforcement including several years as a motorcycle officer. In 1976 he transferred to the Palo Alto Fire Department when he realized his driving desire to serve the public in ways peoples lives might be more directly impacted by his service. Joe is a community results-driven individual with a diverse background in public service, sales and marketing. His pleasures come simply from teaching and coaching his own grand children plus helping other kids find closer relationships with their own parents through youth programs such as the Soap Box Derby. He is married to Lorraine, his childhood sweetheart for over 45 years. Joe and Loraine have three daughters and eight grandchildren, making him very qualified to hold the positions of Youth Activities Chairman.

Don Siglinger, PER is a United States Navy veteran. He was employed by Ford Aerospace and Loral Space Systems. During his career he was involved with the Apollo Space program at NASA in Houston, Texas and was one of the trainers for the Apollo astronauts. In 1982 he came to Palo Alto and was responsible for many satellites launched by Ford Aerospace and Loral Space Systems. Don and his wife Nancy have lived in Palo Alto for more that 30 years and are looking forward to the new Elks Lodge.

Willy has been a member here at Palo Alto BPOE #1471 since 1970 and has been the Tiller since the Lodge reopened in 2001. He also serves as the acting Inner Guard while we search for an Inner Guard. He has consistently served on the advisory board and is a regular cook/helper at the Dirt Crew BBQ's. For the past he and his wife Ingrid have prepared the authentic German food for the annual Oktoberfest. Willy has been married to Ingrid for 48 years and have 2 grown children. Before he retired he spent 40 years as a Tool and Die maker. Later in his career, he got involved as an Experimental Machinist in the Development of Blood Analyzing machines for the Pharmaceutical Industry. Willy shares a common goal with our hardworking Leadership to fulfill our dream to build a new lodge and increase our membership.
Jim spent 45 years in the computing/Information Technology industry. President, Business Solutions (turnkey computer systems), Former Chief Engineer of radio station. Elk for 7 years, Treasurer for 1.5, Member, RFP Committee, headed Flea Market efforts for past two years. Try to help out where appropriate. Married to Ro. Hi is the President of two computer clubs and operates a clinic for sick computers on Saturdays (350 so far!).
