Veterans Activities

Our Lodge carries on a fine tradition of caring for our country's veterans. Our fine Veterans Committee visits the Palo Alto Veterans Hospital at least once a week and organizes activities for these fine men and women. Under the leadership of Dom Garofano and Loren Dowell, the members of this important committee set up bingo games with prizes, goodie bags, and a visit by Santa prior to Christmas. In the summer they raise funds to sponsor vets at our ourdoor barbecues.

The pledge of the National Veterans Service Committee is: So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them.
